There is a whole Customize section on this site dedicated to doing just that.
How Reliable is Auction Nudge?
Auction Nudge has been online since 2008 and during this time has had 99.9% uptime.
Because updates come from the Auction Nudge server, a lot of time has been spent making sure these updates happen reliably and are super fast.
Behind the scenes, Auction Nudge is powered by a high performance cloud server which gives extremely high performance and reliability.
Using Auction Nudge on eBay
Using Auction Nudge on eBay operated websites (for example within an item description) is strictly prohibited.
This includes the use of any method to make Auction Nudge content appear on an eBay web page. This is due to eBay's own terms and conditions.
Auction Nudge and Mobile Devices
Auction Nudge works on all devices that have modern web browser support.
The Your eBay Listings tool also has a 'Responsive' theme which adapts its layout to make the most of the available space, no matter the device.
When the Responsive theme loads, it measures the space available (i.e. the width of the containing element) and adapts the layout to make the most of the space. This means that if loaded in smaller areas, or on mobile devices, the items may be displayed in the single column. On larger screens, items will be displayed in multiple columns.
The Responsive theme is fully compatible with media queries, so the layout will adjust for different devices accordingly. As the theme adapts whenever the screen is resized, changes in orientation (on mobile devices for example) are also fully supported.
While the Responsive theme is the only truly responsive theme, all themes can be adapted using CSS media queries to alter how they display on different devices.
How is Auction Nudge Free?
Auction Nudge funds itself through referral commissions from eBay.
As a member of the eBay Partner Network, Auction Nudge may receive anonymous referral commissions from eBay if a successful transaction occurs after clicking a link to eBay, at no cost to the user.
This means Auction Nudge is free to use and there are no 'pay to unlock' type restrictions and no signups – just obtain your code snippet and install it on your site!
Can I Use My Own Affiliate Details?
Unfortunately it is not possible to use your own ePN tracking details with Auction Nudge.
The focus of Auction Nudge has always been on making excellent tools for eBay sellers. Catering for affiliates would shift focus and resources away from this.
How Auction Nudge Links to eBay
Instead of directly linking to eBay, links get sent via the Auction Nudge server and then seamlessly redirected to eBay.
You may notice that eBay links added to your site get routed through Auction Nudge first, using the link structure //www.auctionnudge.com/to_ebay/...
. There are a couple of reasons for this:
- The visitor clicking the link can be redirected to the appropriate international eBay site, so they view the item in their local currency. This increases the chance of a sale.
- This enables extra checks to be built in to Auction Nudge about the kind of traffic being referred to eBay. Primarily this is to ensure that Auction Nudge is not being used on eBay operated websites, which is strictly prohibited. Unfortunately, some users were using exploits to circumvent the existing checks made by Auction Nudge, so a more reliable method was implemented.
